
Version-Independent Basic Data of a Workflow
Use
You can process the basic data of the workflow definition by selecting
in the Workflow Builder. The basic data for a workflow can be divided into version-independent and version-dependent basic data.

These settings apply to all versions of the workflow definition.
You can process the
possible agents of the workflow by selectingTab Page Basic Data
Here you can change the abbreviation and name of the workflow and enter the work item text of the relevant multistep task. You can also edit the release status and the
SAPphone property of this workflow here. The release status is of an informal nature and indicates the development status of the task.Description tab page
You can add the workflow definition here. For example, this is displayed in the

You can define and process
triggering events and their start conditions and form transactions on these tab pages. Start transactions defined for this workflow in earlier releases are displayed and can be changed. For more information, see Definition of Options for Starting a Workflow.Version overview tab page
Here you will find a version overview for the workflow definition. The active version is marked. You can delete versions that are no longer needed. If workflows are already running for one of the versions, the version is marked correspondingly.
In addition, all existing ad hoc and configuration versions are listed.

All programs created within the definition of a workflow are created in the function group specified here. This includes:
The function group is created automatically by the workflow system and stored here when the first program of this type is created by the workflow system. If no function group is entered yet, you can specify your own function group or get the workflow system to generate one.
