Features

You find the options in the Extras menu of the Workflow Builder. The options can be subdivided on the following tab pages:

View

You make the following settings on this tab page:

Modeling View

Choose whether the graphical, alphanumeric or tree variant should be shown as the modeling view.

The alphanumeric modeling view can be run on all variants of the SAP GUI. This modeling view is used automatically if the graphical modeling view is not available. All steps, outcomes and operators are listed in a table in the alphanumeric modeling view. The workflow, step type, and overview area are also used.

The modeling view Tree also allows a hierarchical display of the workflow.

View

Choose which view is used for display in the graphical modeling view:

All steps, triggering events and the workflow start and end are displayed using symbols. Outcomes are displayed in text on the connecting lines.

All triggering events, outcomes, steps and operators are displayed. Steps are displayed as green rectangles, triggering events and outcomes as red hexagons and operators as circles. The step name is displayed in the graphical symbols.

All triggering events, outcomes, steps and operators are displayed. Steps are displayed as green rectangles, triggering events and outcomes as red hexagons and operators as circles. The node number and the node type are displayed with the step name in the graphical symbols. The step type area is not displayed.

Blocks

Choose whether a block display is used in the graphical modeling view: Various technical or professional interconnections of steps are displayed graphically in a block display. There you can choose between the following variants:

Any block display is deactivated.

The individual blocks that make up the workflow definition can be displayed using various gray scales. Nested blocks are represented with darker gray scales. Blocks on the same level have the same gray shadowing.

The blocks each have a heading derived from the name of their first step and displayed in a different color in the upper-left part of the block. For more information, see Block Orientation in the Workflow Definition.

The blocks show the assignment of the individual step to the various customer-specific groupings. You can enter these in the step definition on the Change data tab page.

The blocks show which user last made changes at which step.

Areas in the object area

Select which optional areas should be displayed in the object area. The Document templates tray is hidden if you hide the step type Document from template.

Recommendation

You can also hide a tray by choosing Close next to the relevant tray in the object area.

Presettings

You make the following settings on this tab page:

Do not generate any undefined steps

Choose if an undefined step is also to be generated after all outcomes when creating a step.

Do not display system elements

Choose whether the workflow system elements are displayed in the workflow container tray.

Display node numbers

In the graphical modeling view, the relevant node numbers for all of the nodes shown by a symbol are displayed in the workflow area of the Workflow Builder. In the NoEPC view this only affects the steps and in the EPC views all steps, outcomes, and operators. A more simple assignment is possible for the technical analysis by using the node number.

Preferred object type category

Select which object type category is first to be offered for selection in the Workflow Builder.

Display of names and symbols

Here you determine if the technical name or the normal name is to be used first for display of the names, for example, of container elements in the binding editor. You can change the display within the tools at any time.

Hidden step types

Select which step is not to be offered to you for modeling in the step type area. If the step type Document from template is no longer displayed, the tray Document templates is also not displayed.
