Use

You can change the properties (such as threshold values) and methods assigned to monitoring objects in two ways:

For this option, although you select only one MTE in the Alert Monitor, by default you change the properties of the entire attribute group or MTE class.

Change Properties and Methods of Nodes from the Alert Monitor

  1. Choose CCMS ® Control/Monitoring ® Alert Monitor, or call transaction RZ20.
  2. Choose a monitor from the monitor sets.
  3. Choose one or more nodes in the Alert Monitor, and choose Properties.
  4. If you have selected multiple nodes, you can switch between the properties and methods of the selected MTEs using the Previous select.Obj. (This graphic is explained in the accompanying text) und Next select.Obj. (This graphic is explained in the accompanying text) pushbuttons.
  5. Choose change mode with the Display « Change (This graphic is explained in the accompanying text) pushbutton. The system displays a message indicating whether the changes apply to this MTE individually or for the entire MTE class/attribute group. Make the required changes.

Note

If you want to change the specification for whether you changes should apply only to this MTE or to the entire MTE class/attribute group, choose Edit ® Properties ® Use for MTE Class/Group or Edit ® Properties ® Use Only for MTE.

  1. Save your changes.

  1. Choose CCMS ® Configuration ® Alert Monitor, or call transaction RZ21.
  2. From the Monitoring: Properties and Methods screen, you can display an overview of the methods and properties assigned to MTE classes and attribute groups.
  3. You can choose your desired functions as follows:

  5. Choose Display Overview.
  6. In the overview, select the entry that you want to change and choose Edit Data.
  7. Switch to change mode by choosing Display « Change and make the required changes.

Note

Only assign a data collection method to MTE classes if you have written your own data supplier. Do not change the assignment of the data collection methods delivered by SAP.
