Use

You can determine whether the display in the Alert Monitor should be regularly refreshed. The automatic refresh updates the Alert Monitor display with the currently available information in the monitoring system. The refresh is performed at the intervals that you specify in the display options. The alert monitoring tree is not rebuilt during the refresh; the existing monitoring tree elements are only updated with the currently available information.

Procedure

To refresh the display in the Alert Monitor regularly, proceed as follows:

  1. Choose CCMS ® Control/Monitoring ® Alert Monitor, or call transaction RZ20.
  2. Expand the monitor set that contains the monitors that you require and choose Start Monitor.
  3. To do this, choose Extras ® Display options, and switch to the General tab page.
  4. Choose yes, interval and enter a time in the Refresh Display group box. We recommend that you specify at least 300 seconds.

Note

You can also manually update the Alert Monitor by choosing Refresh (This graphic is explained in the accompanying text) or performing other operations that trigger a refresh, such as leaving the Alert Browser or changing from the Open Alerts view to the Current Status view.
