Definition
This parameter describes the contingent for the number of users logged on to the SAP system.
Use
The parameter
rdisp/tm_max_no specifies the absolute number of logons to the SAP system. Open the User List (transaction SM04, see Display and Manage User Sessions) to see how many users are currently logged on to a server in the SAP system. The User List also displays whether each logon is a GUI or an RFC logon. This parameter therefore sets the percentage of possible logons, which, once exceeded, causes any further RFC logons to the server to be rejected.
Unit: percentage
Default value: 90
Example
Let us assume that
rdisp/tm_max_no is set to 100, and rdisp/rfc_max_login to 90. Once there are 90 logons on the system (whether they are GUI or RFC logons is not important), no more logons of the type RFC can be accepted. 10 more logons of the type GUI can, however, still be accepted. Once the eleventh GUI logon attempt is made, the server returns the message "Maximum number of terminals reached".
