Procedure

Starting Distribution in the Source System

In the initial screen of Dangerous Goods Management choose Dangerous goods master ® Send ® Start sending.

The Send Dangerous Goods Master screen appears. The message type DangerousGood is preset.

Note

You can also simulate distribution.

To do this, choose Dangerous goods master ® Send ® Simulate.

Choose the logical systems to which the dangerous goods master records are to be distributed.

Enter intervals for materials and for dangerous goods regulations and the selection date as selection criteria.

Note

You can use the Change pointer evaluation indicator to tell the system to take into account during filling only those data records that were created, changed, or deleted.

Choose .

The system informs you whether distribution could be started successfully.

Monitoring in the Target System

Choose Tools ® Business Framework ® ALE ® Administration and then

IDoc.

As selection criteria, enter DANGEROUSGOOD in the Logical message type field.

Choose

The IDoc Lists screen appears. Position the cursor and choose Goto ® IDoc list.

For each IDoc, you can now use the IDoc display function to display data for the data records transferred.

Note

The IDoc records that were sent to the target system are only distributed if the appropriate requirements are met.

Displaying the Log in the Target System

In the target system, choose Utilities ® Display logs ® Import logs in the Dangerous Goods Management initial screen.

The Evaluate Application Log screen appears.

Make sure that EHDD has been entered in the Object field and enter other selection criteria.

Choose

The SAP System displays the log.

Note

You have the option of choosing which messages you want to display in the import log for distribution. This means you can reduce the scope of extensive logs. You make these settings in Customizing for Dangerous Goods Management in the IMG activity Hide Messages in Import Logs.

Deleting the Log

To delete logs in the target system, choose Utilities ® Delete logs ® Import logs in the initial screen of Dangerous Goods Management.

Note

You have the option of specifying whether the system should always attempt to update IDocs or whether they should not be updated if data records contain errors. You make these settings in Customizing for Dangerous Goods Management in the IMG activity Specify Environment Parameters using the DG_DISTRIBUTION_SAVE parameter.

You also have the option of switching off phrase verification if you are sure that the phrases exist in the target system. This improves performance. You make these settings in Customizing for Dangerous Goods Management in the IMG activity Specify Environment Parameters using the DG_SUPPRESS_PHR_CHECK parameter.
