Prerequisites

Use create mode in Simple Maintenance if you want to create a brand new organizational plan that contains no objects within Expert mode. Otherwise, you should use the change or display mode.

Procedure

  1. Choose Organizational Management ® Expert mode ® Simple Maintenance ® Create.

The Create Organizational Unit screen appears.
  1. Enter a short and long name as well as a validity period for the highest organizational unit in your organizational plan.
  2. Specify whether you want to work in the overall view or the human resources view. Views
  3. Choose Create.

The Organizational Structure/Change screen appears.

Result

You have created a root organizational unit, which is the highest unit of an organizational structure (Executive board, for example). The root organizational unit is the starting point of the organizational structure. Creating and Editing Organizational Structures
