Prerequisites

You should delete infotype records only when you want to erase all account of a record from the database. The system keeps no historical information.

Caution

Deletions should only be necessary, for example, when you incorrectly or accidentally create a an infotype. To change the validity period of a record, use the Delimit Function.

Procedure

  1. On the Organizational Management screen, choose Expert mode ® Task Catalog.
  2. The Task Catalog screen appears.

  3. Determine how the system should build up a task catalog by entering data as required in the appropriate fields.
  4. Choose Execute.
  5. The Task Catalog screen appears, displaying the selected tasks.

  6. Select the task you want to edit.
  7. Choose Task ® Display.
  8. The Maintain Task screen appears.

  9. Check the Plan version and Task fields to ensure they state the correct version and task.
  10. The system inserts this information according to your selection in the task catalog.

  11. Select the infotype you want to delete.
  12. Using the tab pages, select the current status of the infotype record.
  13. Choose Edit ® Delete infotype.
  14. The infotype screen you selected appears.

    Note

    If more than one infotype record is available, choose Goto ® Previous record or Next record to select the record that you want to delete.

  15. Choose Delete.
  16. The Delete<selected infotype> dialog box appears.

  17. To delete, choose Yes.
  18. The Maintain Task screen appears.

  19. To return to the Task Catalog screen, choose Back or Cancel.
