The Individual Development Subprofile

Definition

You use an Individual Development subprofile to manage a person’s individual development plan.

Use

You use the Individual Development subprofile to:

Edit individual development plan items

Insert new development plan items

Insert a general development plan (or parts of it) into an individual development plan

Structure

Object type

This shows the type of development plan item involved (business event, staffing of a specific position, and so on).

Name

The name or ‘title’ of an item.

Status

The current status of the development plan item.

Validity period

The period during which a development plan item is ‘performed.’

Note

Comments on the development plan item.

Integration

You can use the development plan history subprofile to display an overview of development plans already completed (worked through).

You can also set up a Individual Development subprofile for object types other than those for which standard settings have been made. For further information about defining profiles, refer to the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Personnel Development under Functions ® Define profile view.
