Analysis Method
Definition
A procedure for rating agents and exposure within the framework of a risk assessment.
The individual rating determined using the analysis method is used as a point of reference for deriving the
main rating.
Use
You can examine an
agent you want to assess on the basis of various different analysis methods. The analysis methods available to you are specified in Customizing and depend on the
agent type of the agent you want to assess.

You make the necessary assignment in Customizing for Industrial Hygiene and Safety in the IMG activity Assign Analysis Methods to Agent Types. If you do not assign an analysis method to an agent type here, the default analysis method set by the environment parameter IHS_ANALYSIS_DEFAULT is used.
Structure
The standard system contains the following analysis methods:
Measured value-reference value comparison
Comparison with standardized criteria
Evaluation of questionnaires
Summated rating
If you want to use other analysis methods in addition to these, you can create up to 10 of your own additional analysis methods. To do this, you will need to create a customer structure and a function group for the analysis method, and make the necessary adjustments in Customizing for Industrial Hygiene and Safety. For more information, see Create Analysis Methods in Customizing for Industrial Hygiene and Safety.
