Setting Boxes 
Use
You use the box functions to set boxes for cell borders in different line thicknesses and colors:
- Adjacent cells share the box for the left or right border, respectively.
- For tables, a line type can have an upper and a lower box line. You should keep this in mind because the boxes for tables are connected to the line type and therefore can appear anywhere in the table output. (See:
Line Types for Tables).
With fine box lines, the Table Painter displays only the lower box border of a line type.
Prerequisites
To set boxes for one or more cells, you must deactivate the draw mode 
. Then you can select cells:
- To mark a single cell, click it
- To mark an entire line, press the SHIFT key and click the line
- To enhance the current selection with other cells or lines, keep the CTRL key depressed when selecting the new cells or lines as described above
- To mark all line types in the design area with the mouse, press CTRL-A
Procedure
Setting Boxes for one Side of the Cell
From the
Box
group box select a color and the line thickness you want to use for drawing the box.
Select one or more cells.
Click the desired pushbutton
Upper Frame

Lower Frame
,
Right Frame
, or
Left Frame
.
Outer and Inner Frame
From the
Box
group box select a color and the line thickness you want to use for drawing the box.
Select an area covering several adjacent cells (for an outer frame, also one cell makes sense).
Click

Outer Frame
, the Table Painter draws a border around the selected area
With
Inner Frame
, the Table Painter draws lines in all gaps within the selected area
Resetting Boxes
To reset the box settings for selected cells, click
Reset Box
