Purpose

Subsequently, the procedure with the important process steps is presented within the process.

If processing errors occur, this data is stored in a structure that corresponds to the transfer structure. As soon as the commission case has a certain status, "line items" that are overwritten again and again until the next status is reached in pending case processing are created (in transaction documents).

If no errors occur, a pending record is not normally created and the commission document is created immediately. There are exceptions when parking (for business for which an application has been made but for which no policy has been issued, for example) as well as for parts of commission that are not yet due (legal rights to future commission, for example).

Commission cases are usually created in the background. Errors that require intervention from a processing clerk can occur in some areas.

NoteThe procedure is described from a technical point of view, not from the point of view of the components used (condition technology, for example).

Process Flow

The in-force business management or the delivering system must deliver the interface information in the structure required for the commission system (as commission case, commission activity and participation data). The following data/actions are especially important:

A unique reference to an external business transaction number (that is a blanket number for all records for the commission case) is required, as are external references to contracts (key terms for the delivering system or a sales cooperation company).

All direct participants, their participation roles and possible information about the allocation of commission, as well as the values and criteria (especially object data) relevant to commission calculation, are transferred.

The process for creating a commission case proceeds as follows:

  1. Get data
  2. Initialize process/pending case data
  3. Search the pending cases for the same object with an older status
  4. Determine participation
  5. Determine standard contracts
  6. Determine and valuate the commission contracts and valuation types
  7. Determine old documents and check liability
  8. Determine and calculate remuneration
  9. Determine new liability time
  10. Determine and calculate the legal right to future commission
  11. Create commission document
  12. Set commission document to pending as appropriate
  13. Post the commission document in the ledger and credit the old pending cases
  14. Write off old commission documents as appropriate
  15. Post new commission documents as appropriate
