Use

In the display options you can choose to display in the CAD desktop the following information from the CAD system, either as additional information, or to be downloaded.

Integration

You use suppressed components in large assemblies, when the majority of parts are not subject to a continuous change cycle, and generally stay constant. You can also mark these parts with a "Suppressed" indicator in the CAD system. They are not loaded, and cannot be seen in the assembly. The indicator is visible in the document info record, in the sort field. You can decide in the display options whether suppressed components are to be shown or hidden in the SAP view of the CAD desktop.

If drawings exist for a CAD model, you can display them in the SAP view, or download them in the CAD view. The system can also access drawings that are not open, and display them in the CAD desktop.

Prerequisites

To be able to load drawings, CAD models and drawings (depending on the CAD interface) need to be stored under the same file name.

In the SAP view proceed as follows:

  1. Select a CAD model.
  2. Choose Display Options ® Display Suppr. Comps or Display Drawings or Display References.

The SAP system displays the relevant drawings, if they are available.

 

In the CAD view proceed as follows:

  1. Select a document info record.
  2. Choose Display Options ® Load Drawings or Load References.

If drawings are available, the SAP system activates the loading of the drawings into the CAD desktop, or into the current working directory. You can then check in the drawings with the appropriate document info record into the secure storage area.
