Use

From default parameter value determination, different indicators can be set for a determined default parameter value in the transfer table of the structure CVDDP.

Prerequisites

In the determination function module you specify which indicators are set in default parameter value determination. The determination function module is assigned in the IMG activity Specify Report Symbol Groups to the corresponding report symbol group (see also Default Parameter Value Determination).

Features

The following indicators can be set:

The user cannot change the determined default value on the screen. The value is not displayed as ready for input.

The corresponding default parameter value must have values assigned. If no value could be assigned by default parameter value determination, you must enter a value in the appropriate field on the screen, otherwise a warning is issued when you exit the screen.

Note

The system ensures that a parameter that is set as a required value and that was not assigned values by default parameter value determination can be assigned values manually. If the Parameter Value Can Only Be Displayed indicator is set, it is therefore reset by the system in this case.

If this indicator is set for a parameter value, it is actually required for report generation and is transferred to the return table.

The default value determined was changed manually on the screen. For a parameter with multiple values assigned, the indicator is set for all individual values as soon as one value was changed. The change is retained only during the current transaction.

The default parameter value is determined again before each report generation unless the value was changed manually. Examples of values that need to be determined again are the generation date, the report version, or the print date.

Note

As a general rule, for symbols that are within parameter repeating groups, either all the values that have already been determined are transferred or all values are determined again, depending on the indicators.

The keys for the application objects are determined in report management or in the report information system and transferred to report shipping as parameter values. If, for example, you want to ship a standard operating procedure, the key of the work area for which the standard operating procedure was created must be known so that the system can select the corresponding report shipping orders, for example. The indicator is set only for application objects whose keys do not already appear in the header of the report shipping order, meaning they are not already known to report shipping.
