Inspection Lots: Restrictions

In the following cases, the use of inspection lots or inspection characteristics is restricted:

Reference operation sets

If a reference operation that contains inspection characteristics is inserted into a production order after an inspection lot has been created, the inspection characteristics are ignored.

Alternative sequences

If the standard sequence contains an operation with inspection characteristics, it cannot be replaced by an alternative sequence.

Routings with operations containing inspection characteristics

if the routing is copied when the production order is created, all assigned inspection characteristics are copied into the production order.
if the standard and alternative sequence are exchanged in the production order without subsequently reading the routing, you may find that any inspection characteristics specified in the alternative sequence are not transferred to the standard sequence.
