Use

You can manually revise the specification assignment created by the SAP System during the File Check During Specification Import.

Features

You influence the assignment of specifications from the transfer file to an SAP specification by modifying the specification key.

Influence of Specification Key

Initial Situation

You Can...

The SAP System finds a specification key

leave the specification key unchanged

The SAP System imports the data that corresponds to the definition in the Spec. deletion type field for the specification.

change the specification key

You can enter a specification key that already exists and thus assign the specification data for this specification.

delete the specification key

If you delete the specification key, the specification is created during import.

The SAP System does not find a specification key

enter the specification key yourself

You can enter a specification key that already exists and thus assign the specification data for this specification.

leave the field empty

If no specification key is assigned, the specification is created during import.

Note

If you enter a specification key, the key must already exist. You cannot define a new key manually.

The assignments you enter are not checked further by the import, but are executed. If no specification key was assigned during checking, the system creates the specification during import and does not check whether the specification has been created in the meantime.
