Basic Functions in the Hit List

You can use the following basic functions to edit the hit list:

Function

Description

Object (specification, phrase, and so on) ® Other selection

You can start a new search with different search parameters.

(Only for specifications and phrases:)

You can extend the selection, that is you can enter additional search parameters for specifications and phrases. After you have chosen , the existing set of hits is extended to include the new hits.

(Only for specifications and phrases:)

You can refine the selection, that is you can enter search parameters that data records in the existing set of hits must also fulfill. After you have chosen , the existing set of hits is refined to include these data records only.

(Only for specifications and phrases:)

You can reduce the selection, that is you can enter search parameters that data records in the existing set of hits must fulfill to be removed from the set of hits. After you have chosen , the existing set of hits is reduced by these data records.

You can reset the selection, that is after you have modified the search result of the hit list using (Extend selection), (Refine selection), or (Reduce selection), you can use Reset selection to call the previous hit list.

A dialog box appears in which you can select the columns that you want displayed in the hit list.

After you have chosen Copy, all non-selected columns are hidden.

Utilities ® Basic list

The SAP System displays all columns.

Select the columns you want to sort.

Choose .

If you have selected several columns, a dialog box appears in which you can specify an ascending or descending sort sequence for each individual column.

If you have only selected one column, it will be sorted in ascending order immediately.

If you have selected several columns, a dialog box appears in which you can specify an ascending or descending sort sequence for each individual column.

If you have only selected one column, it will be sorted in descending order immediately.

A dialog box appears in which you can search for a particular term in the hit list.

A dialog box appears in which you can enter print parameters for your printer. You can then choose (Print).
