Definition

Sorts injury/illness log entries into different categories such as first aid after accidents, treatment of old injuries, or health center office hours.

Use

When you create an entry in the injury/illness log, you must assign a type to it. To edit the types of injury/illness log entries, see Specify Types of Injury/Illness Log Entries in Customizing for Occupational Health.

The injury/Illness log entry type controls the following functions:

You can choose whether an injury/illness log entry is transferred automatically to the incident/accident log, or only transferred after the relevant administrator has decided to do so. Or you can choose not to make the log entry available for transfer.

As the type of injury/illness log entry is written to the authorization check, you can control exactly which injury/illness log entries an employee may display and edit.

The key that uniquely identifies an injury/illness log entry can be assigned automatically from an internal number range interval, or manually from an external number range interval. You can define number range intervals in the IMG activity Specify Number Ranges for Injury/Illness Log in Customizing for Occupational Health.

In both cases, you can specify a user exit to check and format the key in the IMG activity Specify Types of Injury/Illness Log Entries in Customizing for Occupational Health.
