The list comparison function offers you the following advantages:

You can compare a work clearance document with the copy model or with other work clearance documents. The system only checks the items of the work clearance documents to be compared.

Two positions can be compared exactly with each other,

• If one item was the template of the other, or the other way around.
• Or if both items have the same template

Comparable positions are either identical or non-identical.

All other items are not comparable with each other. Items which cannot be compared with each other are either added or deleted items. In the current work clearance document they correspond to added items. In the work clearance document being used as a basis for comparison, they correspond to deleted items.

The result of the list comparison is displayed with the following symbols:

• Identical item
• Non-identical item
• Deleted item
• Added item

You can display the result in two different displays:

• The result is displayed in two work clearance documents, whereby the differences are visible in both work clearance documents.
• The result is displayed in one work clearance document.

You can set filters for the result.

You can define user-specific settings, which the system uses as the basis for the list comparison.

For the list comparison, inactive items are not taken into consideration, and are, therefore, not displayed.

You call up the iterm overview of the work clearance document in the change mode and choose Compare with Template or Extras ® Compare ® With other WCD.

To change the display, choose Other Display for the display in a list, or Other Display for the display in two lists.
