Definition
Infotype in which you can store information about limits on deductions. You can create certain maximum values for payments and deductions for individual employees and individual wage type classes.
Use
The infotype Limits on Deductions (0165) is not used in all countries.
You can create entries in the infotype Limits on Deductions when you want to create limits, for an individual employee or a group of employees, which deviate from a constant limit in table T51D1 (Limits on Deductions). An individual limit from the infotype Limits on Deductions overrides a constant limit, if its wage type class and interval for limits match.
Structure
You can make the following entries in the group box Limits on Deductions:
The
To assign a certain interval to the limit, enter a cumulation type here, for example
To specify a fixed amount as a limit, determine the amount here.
Instead of entering a fixed amount you can also enter the name of a
You can also specify several individual limits at the same time for one employee. When you want to specify a fixed amount and a rule, you must create two different infotype records. You can only specify either a constant limit in the amount field or a rule in the rule for limits field in one infotype record.
For limits processing during the payroll run only the lowest existing limit per wage type class is important.
Example
You want the following requirements to be met for an employee's deductions for the 401K savings plan.
To meet the first requirement you have to have specified in Customizing for Payroll a rule ABCD. In this rule you determined the wage type for the total gross amount and the percentage of 5%. There is an example of such a rule under
Rule for Limits. You create the following infotype records in the infotype Limits on Deductions:
