The Garnishment infotype (0426) contains general information data on the garnishments corresponding to the employee.

You inform the system about the conditions applicable to the employee regarding the garnishment calculation and the form in which it is accounted for in the payroll accounting through the administrative and organizational data entered in this infotype.

This infotype contains the following groups of fields:

In the field Garnishment No., the garnishment number assigned by the corresponding judge is specified. However, the system uses another number to identify the garnishment. This number, internally assigned by the system, is displayed in the field Internal. Garnishment No.

In this group of fields you define the features of the garnishment:

• Garnishment status: this field shows the status of the garnishment process, for which there are three options:

• Active: you activate the garnishment to begin the deduction.
• Inactive: you suspend the deduction of the garnishment. It remains possible to reactivate it.
• Released: once you have chosen this option, you cannot reactivate the garnishment.

• Type: this indicates the type of garnishment. In the specific case of Mexico, maintenance payments are the most common garnishment.
• Jurisdiction: authority with jurisdiction over the garnishment. Generally only one is used in Mexico.
• Priority: this identifies the sequence in which each of the garnishments will be processed. The entry ‘1’ shows the greatest priority.

• Garnishment Receipt Date: date on which the documentation corresponding to the garnishment is received.
• Garnishment Release Date: end date dictated by the judge for the garnishment in question.
