This step is implemented via the payroll function PVACT. The function evaluates the amount of leave days "earned" by the employee.

In table T5PVA, the function reads the wage types that correspond to the employee's processing variant to determine the number of leave days not yet taken or paid regarding the current year and their respective amount. The estimated amount is then stored in the corresponding wage type.
