A selection represents a restriction on the result set of a OIW query. In the OIW Frontend for Excel the values for the selections are obtained from the specified selection cells when a query is called. If the "automatic calculation" mode is active in Excel, then every time that a value in a selection cell is changed all queries that depend on this cell are re-calculated.
