The Knowledge Warehouse is delivered with the content models for the Training, Documentation, Intranet Management and Management areas. There are a number of info object classes, i.e. types of info objects that can be used to create contents, in each of these areas.

The Management area is used to store navigation structures and other utilities such as macro files for online editing and printing documents with the SAPgui frontend.

Additional Structure link areas and content models can be defined to meet specific requirements.

Info Object Classes

The class of an information object defines various properties of the object, such as

Example

Information objects of class Slide (in the Training area) have the attribute Language, but information objects of class Structure do not.

Objects of class Slide can have hyperlinks to other objects, but objects of class Multimedia object cannot.

Objects of class Slide have MS PowerPoint as source format, but objects of class Text have MS Word as source format.

Content Types

Content objects of classes Slide and Text in the Training area and class Topic in the Documentation area are assigned to different content classes depending on the contents. Templates that define the block titles and other layout elements (e.g. standard graphics) when the document is created are linked with these content types.

Example

Information objects of class Slide in the Training area can have content types Title, Goal, etc.

Information objects of class Topic in the Documentation area can have content types Object, Procedure, etc.
