Entering content frameProcedure documentation Generating Archive Files for Production Orders (PP-SFC) Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

  1. Choose Logistics ® Production ® Production control ® Tools ® Archiving ® Orders.
  2. The initial screen for archiving production orders is then displayed.

  3. Choose Archiving.
  4. Caution

    If the deletion program was not started immediately after a previous archiving run, there is a risk that orders will be archived more then once. Therefore, when you start the archiving function the system informs you whether data from previous archiving runs was found.

  5. Enter a variant.
  6. Note

    You can only use an existing variant if it is no longer blocked by an archiving job.

    To create a new variant, proceed as follows:

    1. Enter the name of the new variant and click on This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Maintain.
    2. The screen for maintaining variants for archiving production orders is then displayed. The variant contains the selection criteria for selecting the production orders.

    3. Maintain the selection criteria.
    4. Maintain the options:
    1. Click on This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Continue.
    2. Enter attributes for the variant.
    3. Save your variant.
    4. Click on This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.
  1. Click on This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Start date and enter the start date.
  2. Click on This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Spool parameters and enter the spool parameters.
  3. Click on This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

The archive files are then created in the background on the start date.

Note

If the Start automat. flag is set for the deletion program in Structure link Customizing for archiving, the deletion program is called automatically after the archiving run.
