Use
Using the Reload function, you can retrieve archived data from archive files and load the data back into your online system. Use this function as an emergency solution only.
You can reload an archive file as often as required. However, you should exercise caution when reloading because the system does not produce a log telling you whether archive files have already been reloaded into your system. As a result, your system could contain inconsistent or duplicated data after reloading.
Data archived before a local currency changeover cannot be reloaded.
To reload an archive file, you have to enter an existing variant or create a new one. The variant contains the selection criteria for the Special Purpose Ledger totals and line item records that you want to reload.
Activities
When creating the variant to reload archived data, you have to make entries for the selection criteria, additional settings, and data records.
Reload Settings
Specify whether you want to reload totals records or line item records.
Object Parameters
The object parameters for the totals records and line items that you want to reload are the ledger, company code, company, account, and FI-SL document number.
You only need to enter document selection criteria if you want to reload line items. If you want to reload totals records, do not enter any document selection criteria.
Restrictions
In this group, enter the fiscal year, period, record type, and version to be reloaded. The Period field only appears when you reload line items.
You can enter either single values or value intervals as selection criteria.
The system only reloads data records that meet the selection criteria you enter in the variant.
Enter as many selection criteria as possible to reduce the processing time of the reload program. You should always specify a ledger name and fiscal year.
Processing Options
If you want to start the reload program in test mode, select Test Run.
Data is not reloaded into your system. The system only reads the selected archive files according to the selection criteria you enter.
