
HR Forms Workplace (PY-XX-FO)
Purpose
A form often functions as an enterprise's business card, which means it requires an attractive graphical design. The HR Forms Workplace (which will be called the Forms Workplace from now on) enables you in future to create flexible reports with an attractive layout for HR master data, personnel time data, and payroll results. It is therefore a central Human Resource tool that enables you to select data from various sources in a uniform manner, which you can then design and print. The advantages are as follows:
SAP Smart Forms tool, which is integrated with the Forms Workplace, enables you to create modern form designs. For example, you can use different formats (styles, fonts, font sizes, paragraph formats, character formats, lines, borders, and so on) or graphical elements (such as company logos) to design your forms.

At the time of writing this documentation, SAP supports international forms and forms for the German country version.

Implementation Information
The
logical database for payroll constitutes the basis on which you work with the Forms Workplace. Therefore, you must run report H99U_RGDIR_WPBP (Reconstruct Tables HRPY_RGDIR and HPPY_WPBP) to convert payroll results that were generated in a release earlier than 4.6B. SAP has already performed this task for the American and Canadian country versions as part of the upgrade to 4.6C.
SAP continually enhances and supplements the tables and fields that you can select using the Forms Workplace. Customer enhancements (such as infotypes) are possible at any time.

Integration
The Forms Workplace is efficiently integrated with the workflow and error handling of the payroll process. You can integrate the print report for HR forms with the payroll process, just like a normal report, using the
HR Process Workbench.
