Use

In SAP Time Management (SAP HR), partial-day absences are absence periods within the employee’s planned working time on any given day. In other words, the employee is absent during part of his or her planned working hours, but is at work the remainder of the scheduled time.

The absence types that are stored as partial-day absences are specified in the settings made in Customizing.

Procedure

  1. Choose the Absences (2001) infotype and enter a permitted subtype or absence type for recording a partial-day absence.
  2. Enter a time period.
  3. Select a processing mode.
  4. Check the validity period of the record.
  5. You can only enter partial-day absences for one day.

  6. Specify the absence time or hours and choose Enter.

If you enter absences using clock times, you have the following options:

In the calculation, SAP R/3 takes account of any breaks the employee may have taken.

If you enter times that are outside the planned working time, the system automatically corrects them to the start or end of the employee’s planned working time.

  1. To integrate the absence data in other SAP R/3 components, maintain the Accounting/Logistics specifications as required.

  3. Save your entries.

Result

You have now recorded a partial-day absence for the employee.
