Canceling Settlement Request Lists
Use
Use the Cancel Settlement Request List function to cancel a settlement request list and the single settlement requests it contain, even if follow-on documents have already been generated for Financial Accounting.
Prerequisites
This function can be used even if follow-on documents have been generated, unlike the Complete Settlement Request List function.
Features
When a settlement request list is canceled, the system cancels the list header as well as the single settlement requests it contains.
For more information about what can happen when you cancel a list header, see Canceling Documents. The following may occur when processing single settlement requests:
The system generates a cancellation document for each individual document and both are assigned the status E (Document complete by cancellation). This means that no follow-on documents can be generated.
The system generates a cancellation document for each individual document and the follow-on documents for the cancellation document. The individual document retains its original status. The cancellation document is assigned the status K (Posting using Settlement List) or status O (Posting using Settlement List (Accounting Document Not Generated)). This is dependent on the cancelled settlement request list being posted to Financial Accounting immediately or if, for example, a posting block is set.
If you only want to correct part of the settlement request list, use BAPI BAPI_SETREQSLIST_COPY_AND_ADD. Use this function to may corrective postings in your system. When doing so, the system copies the incorrect individual document items with an incorrect debit/credit sign and resets the correct item. You can also cancel specific individual documents. The system copies only the individual documents with the incorrect billing document type (invoice or credit memo).

This function is not a real cancellation because the original document has not actually been changed – the correction is made when balancing is done in Financial Accounting.
