Use

You can start scheduling a testing schedule in the current cycle. You may want to do this under the following circumstances:

Procedure

  1. From the SAP Easy Access menu, choose Logistics ® Quality Management ® Stability Study ® Stability Planning ® Testing Schedule ® Scheduling.
  2. The initial screen for scheduling a maintenance plan (testing schedule) appears.

  3. Enter the key of the maintenance plan you want to schedule and then choose Continue.
  4. The screen for scheduling the maintenance plan appears.

  5. Choose Edit ® Start in cycle.
  6. A dialog box may appear in which you are asked whether you want to skip or delete the calls with the status Waiting.

  7. If such a dialog box appears, choose Delete to delete the dates with the status Waiting.
  8. Another dialog box for entering a start date is displayed.

  9. For the Completion date, enter the planned date of the last package that should NOT be taken into consideration for the start in cycle.
  10. For the Offset, enter the package that corresponds to the completion date you entered in step 5. You can enter the offset directly or select it as follows:
    1. Choose Select package.
    2. The Package Sequence screen is displayed showing the strategy that is assigned to the maintenance plan in graphical form.

    3. Select the package that should NOT be taken into consideration for the start in cycle by placing the cursor on it, and then choosing Set start offset.
    4. The system marks the new start offset with a call symbol. Scheduling begins with the package after the start offset.

    5. Exit the function.

The system reschedules all packages that follow the selected package.

  1. Save the maintenance plan.

Note

If a date, which lies after the chosen completion date, was already called before you executed the start-in-cycle function, two calls will now exist for this date in the testing schedule. You must therefore cancel the extra, unneeded inspection lot for this date. Only one uncancelled inspection lot should exist for each storage condition and test date. By cancelling the unneeded inspection lot, the system informs the scheduling function that no confirmation will posted for this lot. This inspection lot is considered to be completed.
