The IRD Number infotype specifies the employee's Inland Revenue Department number.

To meet the requirements of the Privacy Act, this information is maintained in a separate infotype. There are strict rules regarding the use and display of personal information. By storing the number in a separate infotype, you can determine who is authorized to access the number.

For new employees, you can create the IRD Number infotype through a hiring action. If an employee's IRD number changes, you can change the existing tax record in master data by delimiting the old record and entering a new validity period for the new record.
