As of Release 3.0D, deletion flags always refer to all change statuses of a routing. When you set a deletion flag for a change status, the deletion flag is also set in the entire routing.

In previous R/3 Releases, deletion flags were handled differently. Program RCPREDEL was created for this reason.

Program RCPREDEL:
Set Deletion Flags in All Change Statuses

Routings from older R/3 Releases may only have deletion flags in individual change statuses.

You can use program RCPREDEL to set existing deletion flags in all change statuses of a routing.

This is very important if you want to enter deletion flags as a criterion for your archiving run with a delete program.

You only have to run this program once. You do not need this program for the data you create after Release 3.0D.

Note

If you try to archive routings from older releases (with deletion flags as selection criterion) and you do not use program RCPREDEL first, only the routings with a deletion flag in all change statuses are archived. The routings which have deletion flags in individual change statuses are not selected when you enter deletion flags as a criterion.
