You use planner profiles or their related planning layouts to control object selections.
You can create various planning layouts per planning area that differ depending on the key columns, characteristics and other criteria. This allows you to set up flexible planning
schemes, which meet specific business requirements such as versions, semiannual, or quarterly planning, and others. The standard R/3 System includes pre-defined planning layouts for common planning jobs. You can also create custom layouts quickly and easily.
