Use

You can create standard folders in order to help users with the organization of their favorites. The users can store favorites in these folders but cannot change or delete the folders. You can also reserve the standard folders for specific object types. You can then assign various user groups using roles (task specific) to the folders.

Example

Buyers can assign you folders in which only links to orders may be stored.

Procedure

Creating standard folders

  1. Call the transaction SMY1.
  2. Choose New entries.
  3. Enter a folder name and a description. The folder is displayed to the users with the description.
  4. In order to determine restrictions for the objects that may be stored in the folder, proceed as follows:
  1. In the dialog structure, choose permitted objects by double-clicking.
  2. Choose New entries.
  3. Enter the object types that may be stored in the folder.

Assign a role to a standard folder

  1. Call the transaction PFCG.
  2. Select a role to be changed that is assigned the personalization object Node for MyObjects (for example, the role SAP_BC_SRV_GBT_USER.
  3. Choose the entry SBPT_MYOBJECTS_NODES on the tab page Personalization by double-clicking.
  4. Enter the standard folder that the role is to be assigned.

Result

The standard folders are created and the roles are assigned. Using the role, you can now assign the users. The standard folders are displayed in the Favorites of the users.
