Use

Using ratios, you can calculate the quotient of two value fields directly on the planning layout. You define ratios in CO-PA Customizing under Planning ® Planning Aids.

When you define a planning layout, you can choose ratios to define columns just as you would choose value fields. By default, the ratio can also be entered manually by the user.

Example

If you enter the quantity and the revenue, the system automatically calculates the price. If, however, you enter the quantity and the price, the system calculates the revenue.

If you change one of the three values, special rules determine which of the other two values should be recalculated. You can define these rules when you define the ratios.

Caution

The values you enter or have calculated for ratios are not stored in the database. Instead, the system calculates them based on the relevant value fields each time you display them.
