Goods movement reversal of material documents can be used anytime material documents were posted with reference to handling units. Specifically, the usual reversal process is not possible in HU-managed storage locations.

Handling units that were involved in goods movement postings may not be changed after the material posting. This includes repacking as well as assignment to a document.

The entire material quantity must be packed in handling units.

To reverse goods movements for handling units (HUs), proceed as follows:

1. From the SAP menu, select Logistics ® Central Functions ® Handling Unit Management ® Goods Movement of Handling Units ® Reversal of Goods Movements for HU.

• If you want to reverse entire material documents, select the Material docum. tab.
• If you want to search for the material document in question using handling units or if you only want to reverse individual material document items, select the Handling units tab.

2. Enter the material document number (or the handling unit number) or use input help to find it.

You can use the Simulate function to check whether it is possible to reverse a certain material document.

If you have selected handling units by using the Handling unit tab, you can use Read HUs to display data such as weight and volume for the handling units selected.

If you want to be sure that you reversed the right material document, you can select Display matl document to display the corresponding material document.

3. When you select Program ® Execute, the system checks whether the material document can be reversed; if so, the system reverses the material document.

The material document that was selected (or the material document with which a handling unit was last posted) is reversed and a reversal document is created.
