Use

In addition to editing the Basic Settings, you must make certain assignments so that the system can create in the inspection plan the relevant data (for example, inspection characteristics) from the value assignment types that exist in the specification database. You make these assignments in the central object for the EH&S-QM interface: the Mapping Table.

The class characteristics that you edit in specification management are used to create inspection characteristics.

There are two possible scenarios:

Prerequisites

You have edited the Basic Settings.

Procedure

  1. Call the transaction CGQM.
  2. A table appears where you edit the data relevant for inspection plans ( Mapping Table).

  3. Enter the value assignment types relevant for inspection plans in the Val. asst type column.
  4. Select a value assignment type and choose Characteristic assignment.
  5. The dialog box appears where you can assign characteristics.

  6. Enter the class characteristics whose content you want to transfer to the inspection plan.
  7. In the CTyp column, specify how the content of the characteristic is to be formatted in the inspection plan (for example, whether it is a value range or a method). Depending on the characteristic type it is processed differently (see Processing of Characteristics).
  8. Note

The MstrCharac and Plant columns are only significant if the additional parameter characteristics functionality is available. This functionality is not included in the standard system. Therefore, characteristics of the type Condition also cannot be transferred to inspection plans in the standard system.

  9. Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

The table for editing the data relevant for inspection plans appears again.

Steps 1 through 6 are the minimum requirement to be able to create an inspection plan. The system generates one inspection characteristic per value assignment type when the inspection plan is created.

According to your requirements you have the following additional options:

The key for a master inspection characteristic is made up from the plant, description of the master inspection characteristic, and version. As the version valid at the time the plan is created is always used, you do not need to specify a version.

Caution

The contents of the class characteristics specified under Characteristic assignment overwrite the attributes of the master inspection characteristic.

    1. Select the Composit. field.
    2. In the Specification column, specify the individual substances in the composition.
    3. Specify master inspection characteristics if necessary.

Note

As no characteristic values are specified for compositions, you do not need to assign characteristics to the value assignment type under Characteristic assignment.

    1. In the Characteristic column, specify the controlling class characteristics according to whose contents separate inspection characteristics are to be generated.
    2. In the Char. value column, assign the characteristics their contents.
    3. If the characteristic value specified here matches the contents of the corresponding characteristic of a specification, the system creates an inspection characteristic.

    4. Specify master inspection characteristics if necessary.

You must list the value assignment type several times in the Val. asst type column as required and assign the characteristics in each case under Characteristic assignment.

As an example, use the function module EHQM09_BUILD_CHA_NO_COMP to develop analogous modules.

  1. Save your entries.

Result

You have assigned the specification data relevant for your inspection plans in the Mapping Table. You can now Create Inspection Plans.
