Use

The function Delete test cases deletes one or more test cases.

Prerequisites

You have created test cases which are to be deleted. You are in the Extended CATT mode.

Procedure

Search by test case names

  1. Enter a test case to be deleted in the Test case field in the initial screen.
  2. Choose Utilities à Delete test cases
  3. Extend the test case name search with wildcards in the following screen if you want to delete several test cases.
  4. Search with This graphic is explained in the accompanying text. The test cases found are listed.
  5. Select test cases.
  6. Caution

    The list can be longer than the screen display: Check by scrolling that only test cases which you want to process are selected.

    Deletion is irreversible.

     

  7. Delete your selection with This graphic is explained in the accompanying text and confirm the following dialog box.

Search for test cases by other search criteria

  1. Enter a test case to be deleted in the Test case field.
  2. Choose Utilities à Delete test cases. You go to a new screen, the test case is entered in the appropriate field.
  3. Choose F4 and enter your search criteria in the following screen.
  4. Note

    You can use incomplete test case names with Structure link wildcards.

     

  5. Search with This graphic is explained in the accompanying text. The test cases found are listed.
  6. Select test cases to be deleted
  7. Note

    You can select and deselect all test cases together with This graphic is explained in the accompanying text and This graphic is explained in the accompanying text respectively. You can display selected test cases with This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

    Caution

    The list can be longer than the screen display: Check by scrolling that only test cases which you want to process are selected.

  8. Copy all selected test cases with This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.
  9. Confirm your selection in the next screen.
  10. Delete your selection with This graphic is explained in the accompanying text and confirm the following dialog box.

Caution

Deletion is irreversible.

Result

All selected test cases have been deleted.
