Use

You can use the prospective effectiveness assessment to determine the effectiveness of one or more hedging relationships at a given valuation key date. You must enter this data manually. If you double-click the ‘effective’ column in the report, the green icon changes to red and the corresponding hedging relationship is marked as ineffective in the future.

When you save your data, the hedging relationship that was marked as ineffective in the future is either dedesignated or dissolved. This depends on the Customizing settings you have made for the corresponding company code.

Activities

  1. Choose Hedge Management ® Hedge Management Period-End Activities ® Accounting ® Effectiveness Test.

    2. The Prospective Effectiveness Assessment screen appears.

  2. Enter your selection criteria in the following entry fields:
    1. Company Code
    2. Hedge Plan
    3. Hedge Item ID
    4. Financial Transaction
    5. Product Type
    6. Key Date
  3. Choose Program ® Execute.
