Prerequisites

Procedure

  1. In the iPPE workbench, choose Environment ® Production Version ® Create/Change/Display.
  2. The screen iPPE: Access and Production Version appears.

  3. In the Material field, enter the configurable material that you have maintained for the access variant. Enter the plant and the name of the production version and choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.
  4. The system checks whether a production version already exists for the material. If a production version already exists, the system displays a message accordingly.

  5. If you have not yet maintained a production version for the material/product, enter the following data:

Product Structure:

Enter the node for the product structure (access node) with the class, the class type, and the variant.

Process Structure:

Enter the routing header (line) for the process structure. If applicable, enter the class and class type.

Line Structure:

Enter the node that you have created for the line on which the product is to be produced. When you work with line networks, enter the node for the line network. If you work with line networks that have groups of alternative lines, in the Alternative field, enter the part of line network to specify the product’s processing path through the line network.

Product Structure:

Enter the node for the product structure (access node) with the class, the class type, and the variant.

Process Structure:

Enter the routing header for the process structure.

 

4. To save the access object with the production version, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

Result

You have created an iPPE access object with a production version. On the Accesses tab page for the structure node/access node, you can recognize this access object by the name of the production version in the Description column. The Description column is empty for accesses that have been maintained in the iPPE Workbench.
