Performance logs contain information about the performance of the AGate instances running.

This information includes session and workthread usage, request load and turnaround time, CPU usage, and other statistics. You can use performance logs to monitor and tune ITS performance.

Performance logs are stored on your hard disk in files called performance.log (or performance_*.log in the case of archived files) under:

C:\program files\sap\its\2.0\<ITS instance>\logs

Rows in performance logs start with a date and timestamp and are similar to the following:

2001/06/01 11:28:06.828:
D:  0  284  500   60     64       1.000     0.033        1    00039:54:26   S:103 1 2097151 1965560 2097024 723012 0 4177903 2119367

The values in the row beginning with S are sizes in bytes for % user CPU, % kernel CPU, total physical memory, available physical memory, total virtual memory, available virtual memory, memory load, total disk space and available disk space

To define the handling of performance log files or change the location of the logs directory, see Setting Log File Parameters.

Note

The information stored in performance logs is now available directly through other ITS Administration monitoring functions, but the logs are retained for compatibility reasons.
