Definition

Subtypes YANA (Adjustments, No Tax Calculation) and YAWA (Adjustments Without Tax Calculation) of Infotype 0221 (Payroll Results Adjustment) allow you to make non-cash adjustments to employees' payroll results without triggering retrocalculation.

When you make an adjustment with subtype YANA, you need to determine the appropriate taxes for the adjustment and specify them on the subtype. When you make an adjustment with subtype YAWA, you only need to specify the gross adjustment amount. The system automatically calculates the employee and employer taxes and technical wage types during the payroll process.

Use

These subtypes allow you to make changes to an employee's payroll results separately from master data changes that affect an employee's payroll results. Adjustments made with subtypes YANA and YAWA are handled outside the normal retrocalculation process. This ensures that YANA and YAWA adjustments are not affected by normal payroll runs. It also ensures that other master data changes are still picked up in normal payroll runs.

You must manually trigger a special adjustment run to process these adjustments from the Adjustments Workbench. This special adjustment run only takes into account adjustments with subtypes YAWA and YANA; normal master data changes are not taken into account until the next normal payroll run.
