Definition

Subtype ADJT (Adjustment NAMC) of Infotype 0221 (Payroll Results Adjustment) allows you to make positive and negative adjustments to employees' payroll results.

When you make an adjustment with subtype ADJT, you need to determine the appropriate taxes for the adjustment and specify them on the subtype. The system only calculates the taxable wages (technical wage types) during the payroll process.

Use

This subtype allows you to adjust an employee's payroll results when you know the gross adjustment amount as well as the tax amounts to be adjusted. This subtype also has functionality to help clear claims from payroll.

Note

To clear the claims, you first need to execute the Claims Processing report (from the Payroll USA menu: Period-independent -> Payroll supplement -> Claims processing) to determine the gross and net claim amounts, and the tax components on the claim. The repayment amount is listed in the report output. These amounts must be listed on Infotype 0221 subtype ADJT, with the wage type RPAY representing the repayment amount. When ADJT sees the RPAY wage type, it performs special processing to clear the claim from payroll.

Note: This procedure is only valid for terminated employees.

Structure

The Infotype 0221, subtype ADJT screen allows you to enter the following information:

Note

If you enter a check date that falls in the prior year and you have already begun running payroll for the current year, you cannot use the Start payroll function from the Infotype 0221 screen. You can either wait for the next regular payroll run or trigger the adjustment from the payroll driver screen using special run type C and the Payr.ID you specified for the entry on the infotype.
