Roles in the Knowledge Warehouse 

Use

A user role comprises of a selection of transactions, reports and Internet/Intranet links that a particular group of users need for their daily work. It constitutes a preconfigured, structured cluster of activities and information that is organized in order to give the user optimal support in carrying out business processes efficiently. When a system administrator assigns a user to a role, the user can display a user menu geared to his tasks.

All role templates and their individual modules are delivered with the SAP Workplace. The individual modules are also delivered with the mySAP.com components, since as a rule they are based on the functionality of these components.
