When developing BSP applications, it is useful if you make the following settings in the browser:

Note

Set the development language

Your main development and display languages should match the default language that is specified in the browser.

  1. Choose Tools ® Internet Options...
  2. On the General tab page, choose Languages...
  3. In the Language Preference window, enter your preferred language and then choose OK.
  4. In the Internet Options window, choose OK.

Display new sessions in the same browser window

If you open new sessions, you can have these processed in the previous browser window to avoid having a large number of browser instances open on your desktop.

  1. Choose Tools ® Internet Options...
  2. Choose the Advanced tab page.
  3. In Browsing, activate the option Reuse windows for launching shortcuts and then choose OK.

Displaying error messages from the SAP Web AS

Instead of the usual error messages from the browser, you can also display more detailed HTTP error messages, which originate from the SAP Web AS.

  1. Choose Tools ® Internet Options...
  2. Choose the Advanced tab page.
  3. In Browsing, deactivate the two options Show friendly HTTP error messages and Show friendly URLs, and then choose OK.
