Purpose

An employee who does not have SAP GUI for Windows installed on his or her PC would like to create a leave application. A workflow for this scenario already exists in the SAP System. This workflow can now be started with a SAPforms form either offline using a mail client or online by calling the form application directly.

Process Flow

In the process described here, it is assumed that you are using Microsoft Visual Basic. This also applies to the individual sections in this chapter. However, you can also design forms with Microsoft Outlook.

To start a workflow in the SAP System using a SAPforms form, the following steps are necessary:

In the SAP System:

For more information, see Defining a Workflow for Start Using a SAPforms Form.

In Microsoft Visual Basic:

For more information, see Designing Forms with Microsoft Visual Basic.

In the SAPforms Designer:

For more information, see Maintaining Plug-Ins and Opening a Structure: Workflow.

For more information, see Defining and Generating a Binding: Workflow.

Result

Once your SAPforms form is designed and has been processed in the SAP Forms Designer, you can make it accessible to the end users.
