You have the following options for deactivating subsequent shipping:

If you deactivate the Subseq. shipp. indicator in the IMG activity Specify Shipping Reasons, the system no longer sets the subsequent shipping indicator in newly created report shipping orders. As the system still has to create subsequent shipping orders for the existing report shipping orders, subsequent shipping is not deactivated immediately but is phased out within the next twelve months.

If you remove the subsequent shipping function in the IMG activity Assign Check and Subsequent Shipping Functions, you deactivate subsequent shipping for the respective countries. This method of deactivation becomes effective immediately.

Parallel with this, you should deactivate the subsequent shipping indicator for the respective countries for the existing report shipping orders. To do this, in the report shipping order hit list choose Edit ® Deactivate Subsequent Shipping. Otherwise new report versions are rejected by the twelve-month rule and are also not subsequently shipped automatically.

If you deactivate the subsequent shipping indicator from the report shipping order hit list by choosing the Deactivate Subsequent Shipping function for individual report shipping orders, you deactivate subsequent shipping for specific customers or materials. This method of deactivation becomes effective immediately.

You should make sure that no new report shipping orders are created for these customers or materials in which the subsequent shipping indicator is then set again.

If you remove the subsequent shipping function in the IMG activity Manage User Exits (function module for user exit category SRE_SUBSEQ), subsequent shipping is fully deactivated immediately.

Note that the twelve-month rule continues to reject new versions as long as the subsequent shipping indicator is still set in the existing and new report shipping orders. If you want to deactivate subsequent shipping permanently, you must adapt the check method accordingly.

If you remove the subsequent shipping function, the system no longer updates the date of the last subsequent shipping. This means that all report versions created during deactivation will be shipped subsequently if the subsequent shipping function is entered in the IMG activity again, thus reactivating subsequent shipping. If you do not want these report versions to be subsequently shipped, you must manually update the environment parameter SRE_DS_SUBSEQ accordingly with the date of the last subsequent shipping.
