Use

If you have modified SAP objects, you must adjust these objects when you import Support Packages. (Transaction SPDD adjusts Dictionary objects, transaction SPAU adjusts Repository objects.)

Prerequisites

The Support Package Manager prompts you to adjust modifications.

Procedure

  1. Stop the import of the Support Package (use F12). (The Support Package Manager resumes at the step RUN_SPDD or RUN_SPAU.)
  2. So that your developers can perform the modification adjustment, go to the Structure link Transport Organizer and create a request that includes tasks for the developers.
  3. Ask the developers to adjust the modifications for their objects.

If you have not yet confirmed the queue, call transaction SPAM and choose Extras ® Adjust modifications to go to either transaction SPDD or transaction SPAU.

After the adjustment is completed, the developers must release their tasks and inform you. Modifications can be adjusted in any client.

  1. Call transaction SPAM.
  2. Choose Support Package ® Import queue. The Support Package Manager again prompts you to adjust the modifications. Since this has already been done, ignore this prompt and choose Continue. The Support Package Manager continues with the import and displays the status.
