Creating Inspection Plans

The EH&S-QM interface creates inspection plans from specification data that is stored in the specification database. When it creates these Specification-Relevant Inspection Plans, the system creates the inspection plan header, operations, material assignments, and inspection characteristics. The prerequisite for this is that all necessary Basic Settings have been made.

Inspection plans are created in the background.

Creating Inspection Characteristics

The inspection characteristics are created by the interface from the Data Relevant for Inspection Plans that is entered in the specification database under value assignment types. You must specify the relevant data in a Mapping Table. The system can create inspection characteristics with or without a reference to master inspection characteristics that already exist in the system. If they are created without a reference to master inspection characteristics, the related advantages such as multiple language capability are lost.

Converting Phrases to Codes

Quantitative and qualitative variants of a specification, methods, and other information can be stored under a value assignment type. As phrases are used in the specification database to store texts (such as qualitative variants) and codes are used in Quality Management, the interface converts phrases to codes and phrase groups to code groups when an inspection plan is created.
