Use

In Profitability Analysis, you perform tasks that recur periodically. The order in which these tasks are performed depends either on how they fit into the business context or on technical considerations. These activities typically involve programs that are executed in background processing. The Schedule Manager allows you to group together, schedule, and execute these regularly recurring tasks and to monitor the results of the activities. At period-end closing in particular, you can use the Schedule Manager to control the necessary activities efficiently from a central location.

Integration

The Schedule Manager is a cross-application tool that is mainly used in Accounting. The applications provide programs and transactions that can be added in the Schedule Manager to a task list (across different applications if desired).

Features

The Schedule Manager also lets you define complex sequences of activities and to execute them automatically. You can monitor and analyze the way these sequences are performed. The main components and the main functions of the Schedule Manager are shown in the following graphic. For more information on the Schedule Manager, see the cross-application documentation about the Structure link Schedule Manager.

This graphic is explained in the accompanying text
